Vegan Broccoli Patties

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Broccoli (blanched)
  • 2 Tbsp Chickpea Flour
  • 1 tsp Crushed Ginger
  • 1 tsp Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to Taste (remember the Bagel Seasoning has salt too!)
  • Oil for Cooking

Recipe

  1. Crush the blanched broccoli in the food processor.
  2. Put chickpea flour into the same food processor.
  3. Then add all the spices to the food processor as well, except for the oil.
  4. Use salt according to your taste (remember Everything Bagel Seasoning has salt too !)
  5. Add crushed ginger into the food processor as well
  6. Pulse the food processor 6-8 times (don’t blend it just pulse it !)
  7. Scoop out 2 Tbsp of mixture and form a round shaped patty. You will be able to make about 8 patties out of the mixture.
  8. Heat up the pan on medium heat and sprinkle some oil (according to your preference). Keep the pan on medium heat for the entire duration of cooking.
  9. Place 4 patties somewhat close to each other to help cook them evenly
  10. Flip each patty over after 30-40 seconds. You should see a light brown color when you flip it over. Keep flipping the patties over until each side is evenly cooked, with a light to medium brown color, showing signs of light crispiness.
  11. Take the patties out of the pan and they will be ready !

Storage

These patties can be stored in the fridge for 3 days. There is no need to freeze them because they will not taste as good out of the freezer.
